Once upon a time, the match.com headline “Beatrice seeks Benedick for verbal sparring” landed me a date with a hot Shakespeare nerd. Seventeen years later, I couldn’t be more pleased with the results of having cribbed from the Bard to find my life partner. It only made sense to turn to the same source material for my debut novel, a contemporary feminist retelling of Much Ado About Nothing.
